The Hospice Institute of the Florida Suncoast is an international resource center, which offers education and training sessions, conducts research and provides comprehensive consultation services related to end-of-life issues. Institute and Hospice staff have developed a variety of service-related education and training materials for hospice staff and volunteers, including manuals, audio cassettes, videos, clinical competencies and training modules which are listed in our catalog. The catalog can be downloaded from our web site.

The Hospice Institute staff has conducted numerous state, national and customized training programs for end-of-life practitioners. Utilizing practice-based experience, The Institute and The Hospice staff uses the principles of adult learning and their years of training experience to share information, skills and program models with other hospice and end-of-life professionals. Periodically The Institute offers state and national trainings at The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast in Largo, Florida or at other locations around the country. The Institute has also worked with individual providers and state organizations to provide specialized trainings.
